Important COVID-19 Information
At Harrisonburg Family & Cosmetic Dentistry our number one priority has always been the health and safety of our patients. Often in times of uncertainty, there can be a wealth of misinformation spread, especially in today’s digital age. As a leading healthcare provider in our community, we wanted to reach out to all our patients regarding the COVID-19 virus, and to let you know the steps we are taking to alleviate any potential concerns.
We recommend that all our patients wash their hands frequently, avoid close contact with people who are sick, and stay home if you aren’t feeling well. If you have travelled recently or have any symptoms including a sore throat, cough, or fever, please stay home.
At Harrisonburg Family & Cosmetic Dentistry we follow strict cleaning policies for the protection of both our staff and our patients. Each staff member maintains rigorous personal hygiene standards as well as using new gloves and face masks for every patient interaction. We use hospital-grade disinfectants across the entire office, with extensive room cleaning after each patient to ensure a safe and clean environment. After each use, all dental instruments receive the highest level of medical sterilization available. Our waiting room and children’s play area is regularly disinfected as well. These processes have always been of utmost importance in our office and will continue to be the standards we uphold for our community.
Please rest assured that we are following local and national updates daily, and we will continue to maintain the highest level of safety and patient care that you have come to expect. If you have any questions regarding your future appointments, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
At this time, in accordance with recommendations from the Virginia Dental Association, Dr. Mario and I have decided to reschedule all non-emergency appointments until Friday, 3/27/2020. We are available on an emergency basis for our patients, and to help all patients in need of dental treatment from seeking treatment, so that we may do our part in helping to ease the burden on hospital emergency rooms. This will help our medical colleagues attend to those who need non-dental related urgent care. Being part of the Harrisonburg community means doing our part to help slow the transmission of the Covid-19 virus. We ask that patients and members of our community do the same by avoiding large gatherings, unnecessary trips to crowded places, by practicing social distances, and at the same time, continuing to support the many local family owned businesses that our community is blessed to have.
Again, thank you for being a valued Harrisonburg Family & Cosmetic Dentistry patient. We appreciate your continued trust and confidence. We are here for all of you, always. We have your backs. Together, we can overcome these challenging circumstances and continue your path to greater health! We look forward to taking care of you at your next scheduled appointment!
